Causes of Rheumatology

Restoring health, restoring hope.
The causes of rheumatism mainly include genetic factors, infection factors, endocrine factors, environmental factors, immune factors, other factors, etc. 1. Genetic factors Some rheumatism is closely related to genetics, such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, etc., there are abnormal expression or mutation of specific genes, which makes individuals susceptible and more prone to disease under certain conditions. 2. Infection of pathogens such as bacteria, viruses and mycoplasma may induce rheumatism. For example, group A streptococcal infection is closely related to the occurrence of rheumatic fever, which can lead to pathological changes in joints, hearts and other parts by triggering abnormal immune reactions. 3. Endocrine factors Changes in hormone levels in the body play a role in the occurrence and development of rheumatism. For example, women before and after menopause, estrogen levels fluctuate, may increase the risk of rheumatoid arthritis and other diseases. 4. Environmental factors Long-term exposure to cold, humid environment, or excessive fatigue, mental stress, etc., may become the cause of rheumatism. These factors may affect the normal function of the immune system, thus promoting the occurrence of diseases. 5. Immune factors The abnormality of the immune system is one of the key mechanisms of rheumatism. Autoimmune reactions can cause the immune system to attack its own tissues and organs incorrectly, causing inflammation and damage, and then lead to various manifestations of rheumatism. 6. Other factors such as smoking and drugs may also be related to the occurrence of certain rheumatism. Smoking may increase the risk of rheumatoid arthritis, and certain drugs may trigger drug-induced rheumatism.
