A Method for Measuring Pupil Height

In clinical practice, the pupil distance scale is mainly used to measure the pupil height. The specific steps include adjusting the frame, aligning the seat, measuring, etc.

1. Adjust the frame

to ensure that the frame worn by the examinee has been adjusted to a comfortable state.

2. Align the seat

and the examinee should be sitting face to face, about 40 cm apart, and ensure that the two people's vision is at the same level.

3. The measurer should

look at the right eye with his right eye, and the examinee should look at the measurer's right eye with his left eye. The measurer should hold the pupil distance scale with his right hand, align the zero position with the pupil center of the examinee, and then read the value on the pupil distance scale at the lowest point at the bottom of the lower edge groove of the frame, i.e. the pupil height of the left eye.

To ensure the accuracy of the measurement, it is recommended to be carried out in a regular hospital and under the guidance of a doctor.
