Symptoms and treatment of supraorbital neuralgia

Supraorbital nerve pain is located on one side of the forehead and near the orbit and eyeball. It shows pain like electricity or acupuncture, and sometimes it is like burning fire. The pain can be episodic or persistent. The pain may be accompanied by local skin hyperalgesia, and then when the supraorbital notch is pressed, it can show a painful feeling. Sometimes it may show discomfort and photophobia in the same eye. The treatment of supraorbital neuralgia is mainly treated with painkillers, such as carbamazepine, gabapentin, pregabalin or phenytoin sodium, which can also be treated with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory painkillers, and anti-inflammatory treatment if inflammation is required.
