What is the difference between AIDS fever and common fever?

AIDS fever is persistent and can present with swollen lymph nodes, sore throat, and runny nose, which are easily confused with upper respiratory infections; common cold fever lasts relatively short and may be accompanied by muscle soreness, sore throat, and nasal congestion.
