Children lower eyelid redness may be caused by blepharitis, hordeitis or eyelid skin eczema. Blepharitis is a subacute or chronic inflammation of the surface of the eyelid margin, eyelash hair follicle and its accessory gland tissues. The etiology is complex, generally related to bacterial infection, physical and chemical stimulation, refractive error, chronic conjunctivitis, epiphora, bad hygiene habits, and decreased body resistance. Blepharitis can be divided into scaly blepharitis, ulcerative blepharitis and canthus blepharitis three kinds, its main manifestations are eyelid skin flushing, irritation, burning, itching, eyelid congestion red swelling, visible dander or ulcer.
