What is the pain of pressing the corners of the eyes?

Restoring balance, one patient at a time.
The pain of pressing the corners of the eyes is mostly a long sty. Stye is also called styitis, which is a bacterial infection of eyelid glands. If the eyelash hair follicle or its attached sebaceous glands or abnormal sweat glands are infected, it is called external styitis; if the meibomian glands are infected, it is called internal styitis. The affected part has red, swollen, hot, painful and other acute inflammatory manifestations. The inflammatory reaction of external styitis is mainly located at the eyelid margin of eyelash root, with obvious tender nodules, swelling and tenderness of lymph nodes before the same ear, especially obvious pain near the outer canthus angle, and reactive conjunctival edema. The swelling of internal styitis is more limited, with obvious painful induration, localized congestion and swelling of conjunctiva. The yellow thick spots are formed after 2 to 3 days of styitis.
