Nystagmus is divided into idiopathic nystagmus and central nystagmus. The symptoms of idiopathic nystagmus are: involuntary eye rotation, tilted head vision, often nodding and shaking head. Idiopathic nystagmus is congenital nystagmus. The cause is not clear at this stage. Generally, surgery is performed after school age. The symptoms of central nystagmus are: tremor diplopia, shaking vision and dizziness. Central nystagmus may be related to brainstem, cerebellum and spinal cord lesions, requiring further examination in neurology department and symptomatic treatment for etiology.
