Difference between left colon cancer and right colon cancer

The main difference between left colon cancer and right colon cancer lies in the location and symptoms of the tumor. Right colon cancer refers to cancer occurring in the right half of the abdomen, including ascending colon cancer and about 2/3 of the right transverse colon cancer, while left colon cancer refers to cancer occurring in the left half of the abdomen, including about 1/3 of the left transverse colon cancer, descending colon cancer and sigmoid colon cancer. In clinical manifestation, the main symptoms of left colon cancer are intestinal obstruction, change of stool habit, hematochezia, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, etc., while the main symptoms of right colon cancer are abdominal distension discomfort, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, anemia, fatigue and other symptoms.
