According to TNM staging system, colon cancer can be divided into stages 0~ IV, stage 0~ I is early colon cancer, which means that the primary tumor is only limited to the mucosa or submucosa, without lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis; stage II colon cancer refers to the primary tumor invading the muscular layer of the intestinal wall, without lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis; stage III colon cancer refers to the primary tumor with regional lymph node metastasis, but without distant metastasis; Stage IV colon cancer means that the tumor has metastasized to other organs, or abdominal implantation metastasis occurs, or distant lymph node metastasis occurs.
