The difference between urology and andrology

Andrology is a new discipline. The history of andrology is not too long. It is actually a branch of urology. Just like we first showed medicine, it later became internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, etc. Then surgery was divided into urology, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, etc. Andrology was separated from urology. At the beginning, urology mainly treated diseases, including the following several parts: one, that is, diseases of the urinary system, such as stones, tumors, inflammation, etc.; another, that is, diseases of the female urinary system; and then urology also included diseases of the reproductive system, such as testicular tumors, epididymitis, redundant prepuce, etc. Then, it also includes diseases of reproductive system function, such as sexual function, impotence, premature ejaculation, vas deferens obstruction, etc. At present, it is andrology, which separates some of the diseases originally treated by urology, separates male sexual function-related diseases, mainly such as impotence, premature ejaculation, infertility, etc. These are separated and become a branch of urology.
