Treatment of hypospadias by surgery

Surgical treatment methods for hypospadias include urethroplasty, penile curvature correction, capped island preputial flap plasty, etc.

1. Urethroplasty

Patients with hypospadias at the glans or corpus of the penis may undergo urethroplasty, and the ventral skin of the penis will be rolled up through surgery to reconstruct a new urethra.

2. Penile curvature correction

If hypospadias is more severe and obvious symptoms of penile curvature occur, penile curvature correction may be performed.

3. Capped island preputial flap plasty

This operation is to suture a vascularized preputial inner plate flap to the urethral plate to reconstruct the urethra.
