What are the symptoms of optic neuromylitis?

Hormone therapy may be used in patients with acute optic neuromylitis. If hormone therapy is not effective, patients may be treated with plasma exchange. If the above treatment is still not effective, gamma globulin may be used. Patients in remission may be treated with immunotherapy, such as rituximab and cyclophosphamide.
