What's going on with men waiting to pee?

Committed to your health journey.
If men show symptoms of waiting to urinate, the most common cause is prostatic hyperplasia. Prostatic hyperplasia is a disease that is common in middle-aged men. After prostatic hyperplasia, the enlarged prostate will compress the urethra and cause urethral stricture, thus increasing the resistance to urination, showing symptoms of poor urination, waiting to urinate, and weak urination. Conservative treatment of prostatic hyperplasia is mainly recommended by finasteride combined with tamsulosin. Finasteride has a good effect on reducing prostate volume, while tamsulosin can dilate the urethra and relieve symptoms of poor urination relatively quickly. If BPH is severe, accompanied by bladder stones or repeated urinary tract infections, or repeated hematuria, surgery may be required. The gold standard for surgery for BPH at this stage is transurethral resection of the prostate.
