How do you know if your testicles are twisted?

Guiding you towards wellness.
Testicular torsion can be detected by self-examination, doctor's examination, color Doppler ultrasound examination, surgical exploration, etc.
1. Self-examination
After strenuous exercise or testicular impact, if there is severe pain, swelling and discomfort on one side of the testicle, consider the possibility of testicular torsion. If there is no such symptom, there is generally no testicular torsion.
2. Doctor's examination The
doctor can judge whether testicular torsion exists by observing whether the affected testicle is swollen and hardened, whether the pain increases when palpating the testicle, and whether the radioactive lifting function of the testicle is weakened.
3. Color Doppler ultrasound examination
If the doctor suspects testicular torsion after physical examination, color Doppler ultrasound examination will be performed to determine whether the testicular blood flow is normal and whether there are other abnormalities.
4. Surgical exploration
If the color Doppler ultrasound examination shows that testicular blood flow decreases or disappears, the doctor may recommend surgical exploration to determine whether the testicle has been necrotic.
