What does carbuncle furuncle mean?

Furuncle is an acute suppurative inflammation of deep skin hair follicle tissue. Carbuncle is formed by infection and fusion of multiple hair follicles. They all belong to skin soft tissue infection. Common bacteria are mainly Staphylococcus aureus. Antibiotics can be selected for treatment of this disease, such as cephalosporins.
