Garlic enteric-coated tablets are often not used to treat urinary tract infections. Garlic enteric-coated tablets are mainly used to treat fungal infections, while urinary tract infections are mostly Escherichia coli infections, Klebsiella infections or Enterococcus faecalis infections. Therefore, garlic enteric-coated tablets cannot be used as the first choice for urinary tract infections unless fungi are confirmed in urine. In principle, the preferred fluoroquinolone antibiotics such as levofloxacin hydrochloride, ciprofloxacin and other drugs, or cephalosporins antibiotics such as cefixime capsules, cefuroxime axetil tablets and other drugs. If fungal infection is present in urine culture, garlic enteric-coated tablets can be used, or other types of antifungal drugs such as fluconazole injection can be used.
