Characteristics of cardiogenic edema

Cardiogenic edema mainly occurs in the low-hanging parts of the body, showing symmetrical edema, mainly because the patient's heart function is not complete, venous return is blocked, resulting in the penetration of water in the blood vessels from the tissue gap. If the patient is lying in bed, it generally starts from the low-hanging parts, and if the patient is standing, it generally starts from the lower limbs.
