What organs does the urinary system include?

Committed to your recovery.
The urinary system consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra.
1. The
kidneys are the core part of the urinary system. Their main function is to filter waste and excess water from the blood and form urine. In addition, the kidneys are responsible for regulating fluid balance, blood pressure and red blood cell production.
2. The
ureters are two slender tubes connecting the kidneys and the bladder. Their main function is to transport urine from the kidneys to the bladder.
3. The
bladder is an organ that stores urine. When urine accumulates in the bladder to a certain extent, it will trigger the micturition reflex and expel urine through the urethra.
4. The
urethra is a tube through which urine is discharged from the bladder. The structure and function of male and female urethra are different.
