Urine electrolytes. What?

Guiding you with care, every step of the way.
Urine electrolyte examination includes urine sodium examination, urine calcium and urine potassium examination. The normal value of urine sodium examination is 130-260mmol/24 hours. Among them, decreased urine sodium excretion is seen in hyponatremia caused by various reasons, such as vomiting, diarrhea, severe burns, diabetic acidosis, etc. The significance of one-time urine sodium detection is often seen in acute renal tubular necrosis when the renal tubular reabsorption of sodium is reduced, often acute oliguria, one-time urine sodium is often greater than 40mmol/L, prerenal oliguria when the renal tubular reabsorption capacity is normal, often acute oliguria, low urine sodium, urine sodium is often less than 30mmol/L. The normal value of urinary calcium detection is 2.5-7.5mmol/24 hours. The decrease of urinary calcium is found in hypoparathyroidism, chronic renal failure, chronic diarrhea, infantile tetany, and the increase of urinary calcium is often found in hyperparathyroidism, multiple myeloma and drug monitoring of some drugs. The normal value of urinary potassium examination is 51-102mmol/24 hours for adults. Increased urinary potassium excretion is seen in vomiting, diarrhea, primary aldosteronism, Cushing syndrome, diabetic acidosis, drug influence, etc., and decreased urinary potassium excretion is mostly seen in various inflammation caused by low potassium intake, poor absorption or excessive gastrointestinal loss.
