The difference between balanus folliculitis and hard chancre

Balanus folliculitis and hard chancre are different in the causes, clinical symptoms and infectivity.
1. Causes
Folliculitis is a skin infectious disease caused by bacterial, fungal or parasitic infections; hard chancre is a clinical manifestation of syphilis, mainly related to Treponema pallidum infection.
2. Clinical symptoms When
folliculitis occurs at the glans site, it can be manifested as redness, pain, purulent sexual secretions; and hard chancre can form painless ulcers in the early stage, which can be accompanied by skin rash, hair loss, lymph node swelling and other symptoms.
3. Infectious
folliculitis is generally not infectious, and some dermatophyte infections may be infectious; and hard chancre is infectious, which can be transmitted by sexual contact and close contact.
