Left renal cyst and cyst wall calcification

Left renal cyst is due to the increase of age or renal tubular obstruction, or renal ischemia, renal tubular diverticulum will form, diverticulum gradually enlarged, which is filled with cystic fluid, and gradually separated from glomerulus, forming renal cyst.

If the cyst rupture bleeding or abnormal calcium salt deposition to the cyst wall, the cyst wall will be calcified, this is the mechanism of renal cyst formation and cyst wall calcification. Generally, no special treatment is required.

If the cyst is relatively large, usually more than 7cm, it needs treatment, and puncture and sclerosing agent are used. For large cysts, generally more than 8cm in diameter or more than 500ml in cyst fluid, surgery is required
