What is urethral pain when urinating?

Pain in urethra, pubis or perineum when urinating is called pain in urine. The cause of pain in urine is mostly seen in inflammation or stones of bladder and urethra. This is due to pathological changes stimulating bladder and urethral mucosa or deep tissue, causing bladder and urethral spasm and neurosexual reflex. Pain is mostly burning or tingling. It occurs in the distal urethra in men and occurs in the whole urethra in women. Pain in urine is often manifested at the same time as frequent urination and urgency. It is called bladder irritation symptom. Urinary pain is sometimes accompanied by gross hematuria. Many diseases can cause symptoms of urinary pain, common diseases are: urethritis, cystitis, acute and chronic prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, bladder stones, urethral stones, bladder tuberculosis and so on.
