What is the patchy high density shadow seen in the right seminal vesicle gland

Empathy in care, excellence in medicine.
The patchy high density shadow in the right seminal vesicle gland may be related to seminal vesicle stones, seminal vesiculitis, seminal vesicle tuberculosis, etc.
1. Seminal vesicle
stones are stones occurring in the seminal vesicle. Due to the different density of stones and normal tissues, patchy high density shadow may be seen in the right seminal vesicle gland on imaging examination.
2. Seminal vesiculitis
When inflammation exists in the right seminal vesicle tissue, calcium deposition may be caused by long-term inflammatory stimulation, which may present as local high density shadow.
3. Seminal vesicle tuberculosis
is related to mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. After infection, caseous necrosis of seminal vesicle tissue may present as patchy high density shadow.
