Urinary tract infection can be treated with moxifloxacin hydrochloride tablets

Moxifloxacin hydrochloride tablets can treat urinary tract infections, but the first generation quinolones are preferred clinically, such as ciprofloxacin and levofloxacin. Moxifloxacin can treat urinary tract infections, because moxifloxacin belongs to the new generation of quinolones. Indeed, its antibacterial spectrum can cover most of the common components of urinary tract infections, including bacteria such as Escherichia coli. However, in clinical practice, we generally do not recommend moxifloxacin as the first choice for urinary tract infection, because it is clearly stated in the package insert that moxifloxacin is mainly used for respiratory tract infection. Therefore, in order to prevent the use beyond the package insert, urologists generally do not regard moxifloxacin as the drug of choice for urinary tract infection, but choose the first generation such as ciprofloxacin and levofloxacin, which are more common antibiotics in urinary tract infection.
