What is prostate steam surgery?

Restoring health, one step at a time.
Prostate steam surgery is a treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It
uses high temperature steam to penetrate into the prostate tissue, causing apoptosis of prostate gland cells and ablation of prostate tissue, thus alleviating the symptoms caused by urethral compression caused by BPH. The surgery can be performed under local anesthesia, and the probability of adverse effects such as retrograde ejaculation or erectile dysfunction after surgery is low. It can effectively improve the symptoms of the lower urinary tract and is suitable for patients with mild to moderate BPH.
Since the long-term durability of the surgery is unclear, patients should be followed up regularly after receiving treatment.
