Free prostate specific antigen reference value

Dedicated to your well-being.
The free prostate-specific antigen value is unstable, and most clinically uses 0.9-1ng/mL as a reference value.
Prostate-specific antigen is one of the main indicators for screening prostate cancer. Because of its high sensitivity, it is usually clinically used to screen for prostate cancer in men. The ratio of total prostate-specific antigen concentration to free prostate-specific antigen concentration is used to screen for prostate cancer. If the free prostate-specific antigen value is greater than 1ng/mL, and the ratio of the two is less than 0.15, it indicates a greater risk of prostate cancer.
It is recommended that those with abnormal test results undergo further prostate color ultrasound, CT and histopathological examinations to confirm the diagnosis.
