What does uterine diverticulum mean?

Uterine diverticulum refers to a small separation in the uterus after cesarean section due to poor recovery of incision. Uterine diverticulum can lead to poor menstrual outflow and prolonged menstrual period. For asymptomatic diverticulum, there is generally no need to deal with it. Women with reproductive needs can be treated by vaginal or hysteroscopic combined surgery.
