Urachal cyst is caused by abnormal development of embryo during growth. Clinical symptoms include lower abdomen, including shallow position, and do not change with position. When the cyst is large, it will also produce pressure on the intestinal tract, causing abdominal pain. If the cyst is secondary to infection, it will also form abscess.

After treatment, most patients can be cured. If the treatment is not timely or standardized, the residual urachal cyst may cause cancer and harm to health.
