What does cervical transformation zone type II mean?

Cervical transformation zone, refers to the cervical squamous epithelium and columnar epithelial cells alternating site, also known as the cervical squamous, columnar epithelium transition zone, is the site of high incidence of cervical cancer. Cervical transformation zone includes type I, type II and type III. Among them, type II cervical transformation zone is a relatively satisfactory cervical examination result. After staining, part of the cervical transformation zone can be seen, and part of the transformation zone is located in the cervical canal. For type II cervical transformation zone, it is generally necessary to check regularly. If it gradually transforms into type I transformation zone, it means that it has reverted to completely normal cervical cells. If it does not change for a long time, it does not need treatment. If it develops into type III transformation zone, it needs treatment.
