Is urine microalbumin the same as urine protein?

Dedicated to your healing journey.
Urine microalbumin and urine protein do not mean exactly the same thing. Although
urine microalbumin and urine protein indicate that the urine sample contains protein, urine microalbumin indicates that the protein content in urine is very low, which may be caused by physiological reasons such as mental stress and strenuous exercise. If the patient has more urine protein, it may be caused by kidney diseases such as glomerulonephritis, lupus nephritis, diabetic nephropathy, etc.
If the patient has urine microalbumin, it is recommended to go to the hospital for reexamination of urine routine. If the urine protein reexamination result is negative, no special treatment is required. If the urine protein continues to be positive, further renal function examination and renal color Doppler examination are required to clarify the cause.
