What causes ground-glass opacity nodules in the dorsal segment of the right lower lobe?

Small ground-glass nodules in the dorsal segment of the right lower lobe are usually found on chest CT examination, and their causes are many. If the nodules are small, they are considered to be caused by long-term smoking, inhalation of dust and other substances or chronic pneumonia, while if they are large, they should be alert to lung cancer.
