Varicose veins are painful.

Varicocele causes testicular pain due to metabolic reflux or compression of testicles.

Testicular pain is a common symptom of varicocele, because varicocele itself has no venous valve, catecholamine secreted by adrenal gland and its metabolites will flow into testicles, thus causing testicular pain. Secondly, varicocele veins will spiral in scrotum, easy to produce compression of testicles, but also easy to cause testicular pain. In addition to causing testicular pain, varicocele may also affect the spermatogenic function of the testicles, so timely treatment is needed.
