Prostatic fluid culture is the process of culturing bacteria in a suitable medium.

Prostatic fluid is a fluid secreted by the prostate gland, containing sperm, prostate specific antigen (PSA), white blood cells and other components. Prostatic fluid culture can not only detect the presence of prostatitis or other prostate-related infections, but also determine the type of infection.

If bacteria are found in the prostatic fluid culture process, drug sensitivity testing is required to facilitate doctors to choose appropriate antibiotic treatment and control the development of inflammation.
