Pontine hemorrhage is brain stem hemorrhage?

Your well-being is my top priority.
Pontine hemorrhage is a part of brain stem hemorrhage, which belongs to brain stem anatomically. Brain stem includes midbrain, pons and medulla oblongata. Pontine hemorrhage is also one of the most common parts of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage, accounting for about 10% of cerebral hemorrhage, mostly caused by rupture of pontine branch of basilar artery. When the bleeding volume is greater than 5ml, the patient's condition is more critical. The patient may show coma, bilateral needle-like pupils, vomiting coffee-like substances, central high fever, dyspnea, quadriplegia, and decerebrotic seizures. When a patient has a cerebral hemorrhage, regardless of the early symptoms of the disease, attention should be paid to it as soon as possible. The patient's future prognosis depends on the patient's bleeding volume, bleeding site, state of consciousness, and the presence or absence of complications.
