How long does it take to return to normal after thrombolysis?

Thrombolysis with alteplase or urokinase can be performed within six hours of onset of cerebral infarction. How long it takes to recover to normal depends on the patient. The vascular base is poor and recovery is relatively slow. Thrombolysis can accommodate thrombosis in about 1/3 patients. After vascular recanalization, brain tissue perfusion needs to be evaluated at the same time. Whether perfusion is good determines the recovery of symptoms. After thrombolysis, the etiology of cerebral infarction should be examined as soon as possible, such as atherosclerosis, 24 hours after the brain CT ruled out cerebral hemorrhage, early anti-platelet and intensive statin treatment.
