There are many methods of total hip replacement for femoral head necrosis, including anterior approach, posterior approach, posterolateral approach and lateral approach, among which the most commonly used approach is lateral approach. lateral approach requires that under combined spinal and epidural anesthesia, the patient's affected limb is placed in lateral decubitus position upward, starting from the apex of the greater trochanter of the femur, making a lateral longitudinal incision about 10cm long toward the proximal end, incising the skin, superficial fascia, longitudinally splitting the tensor fascia platyma, internally rotating the femoral shaft, exposing the posterior part of the femoral shaft and incising, then cutting off the external rotator muscles such as piriformis muscle, T-shaped incision of the joint capsule, exposing the femoral neck, cutting off the femoral neck with a pendulum saw, removing the femoral head, and treating the acetabulum. Finally, the artificial acetabulum of suitable size is implanted. Then, the prosthetic stem is processed, the appropriate prosthetic stem is implanted, and after drainage, the suture layer by layer is completed.
