What are the causes of glaucoma?

The causes of secondary glaucoma include drug factors, eye trauma, lens abnormalities, etc.

1. Drug factors

Long-term local or systemic application of glucocorticoid drugs such as betamethasone, dexamethasone, prednisolone, etc., will lead to sustained increase in intraocular pressure, patients with secondary glaucoma.

2. Eye trauma,

ocular blunt trauma, penetrating injury caused by intraocular bleeding, eye tissue damage, will lead to increased eye contents, aqueous humor drainage disorders, increased intraocular pressure, may occur secondary glaucoma.

3. Abnormal lens

expansion, lens dislocation, congenital spherical lens, etc. will also affect the normal drainage of aqueous humor, leading to increased intraocular pressure, induced continued glaucoma.
