How to treat thyroid inflammation

The common treatment methods of thyroiditis are general treatment, drug treatment, surgical treatment, etc.

1. General treatment

should limit iodine intake daily to control the progress of thyroid autoimmune destruction.

2. Drug treatment

If thyroid pain symptoms occur, non-steroidal drugs can be used to relieve it. Commonly used drugs are acetaminophen, ibuprofen, aspirin, etc.; when hypothyroidism occurs, levothyroxine replacement therapy can be used.

3. Surgical treatment for

obvious goiter, and tracheal compression symptoms should be timely surgical treatment. Common surgical methods are isthmus resection and bilateral partial thyroidectomy.
