How to do rehabilitation training after ankle fracture surgery

Healing hearts, one patient at a time.
Ankle fracture postoperative rehabilitation training includes early active ankle joint and toe movement, middle stage to strengthen ankle joint flexion and extension training, late stage to strengthen squat or anti-resistance training.
Due to the obvious displacement of ankle fracture, surgery is usually required, and postoperative rehabilitation training is roughly divided into early, middle and late stages. For example, in the case of no auxiliary external fixation, early active or passive ankle joint flexion and extension can be given priority to, and appropriate leg lifting can be done, which is conducive to moving lower limbs and reducing local swelling. In the middle stage, partial weight bearing can be generally performed to strengthen ankle joint flexion and extension training. Late should pay attention to strengthen squat or give resistance training, in order to restore ankle function as soon as possible.
