What's wrong with chemotherapy?

Chemotherapy foot swelling may be caused by drug factors, but also may be caused by cardiac insufficiency, hypoproteinemia and other factors, as follows:

1. Drug factors

patients should use nedaplatin, paclitaxel, nitrogen mustard, docetaxel and other chemotherapy drugs, which can cause water and sodium retention, resulting in edema.

2. When patients with cardiac insufficiency

receive chemotherapy, some drugs cause damage to cardiac function, causing cardiac insufficiency, resulting in increased pressure in capillaries, and water infiltration in blood can cause edema.

3. Hypoproteinemia

After chemotherapy, gastrointestinal reactions occur, resulting in patients eating less or unable to eat, lack of nutrition, resulting in reduced protein content in blood, which can also cause edema.
