Is urticaria hives?

Urticaria is not hives, the two belong to different diseases.

Although urticaria also contains the word hives, but clinically it is completely different from measles. Urticaria refers to edema mass localized on the surface of human skin and mucous membrane. Skin lesions usually disappear within 24 hours, but they will occur repeatedly. The incidence is mostly related to food and drug allergies, microbial infections and other factors. Most cases of urticaria are acute respiratory infections caused by hives virus. Typical symptoms are oral hives mucosal spots, high fever, runny nose and so on. Therefore, urticaria is not hives, it is recommended to carry out targeted treatment.
