When does ovulation begin, and how many days does it take?

Empowering you to live your best life.
For women with regular menstrual cycle and 28~30 days of menstruation, ovulation day is about 14 days before the next menstrual cycle, and ovulation day is only one day. For
women with regular menstrual cycle, the follicles in the ovary will begin to develop on the first day of menstruation. Each time there will be 7~10 follicles in the ovary at the same time, but only one follicle will develop into a dominant follicle. When the follicle diameter reaches 18-25mm, the follicle gradually migrates to the surface of the ovary and protrudes outward, and finally ruptures to form ovulation. The eggs discharged can only survive in the body for 1~2 days waiting for fertilization. If fertilization is not successful during this period, the eggs will be absorbed by the body.
