Perianal abscesses are infections caused by anal gland obstruction and should be admitted for anal physical examination, blood routine, C-reactive protein, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, and CT. Ultrasound includes rectal and perineal ultrasound, which are more sensitive to anal abscesses.
