Constrictive pericarditis is a heart disease in which the pericardium hardens and becomes less elastic due to pericardial disease. The main symptoms are fever, chest distress, chest pain, hepatomegaly, jugular vein distension, rapid pulse, loss of appetite, atrial fibrillation, and edema of the lower limbs.
