Can allergic purpura be contagious?

Henoch-Schonlein purpura is a vascular disease associated with autoimmunity and is generally not contagious. Patients need to take antihistamines and antiplatelet drugs as prescribed to control the disease. Patients with severe symptoms also need to be treated with glucocorticoids.
