Neonatal jaundice is divided into physiological and pathological. Physiological jaundice reaches its peak within 4 to 5 days after birth and will resolve by itself two weeks after birth. If jaundice appears within 24 hours after birth, it is considered pathological jaundice. Blue light irradiation is required if the jaundice value exceeds 122~256μmol/L.
