Generally, most comminuted fractures recover better than others. External fixator and plate can be selected for treatment. If comminuted fractures are serious, it may cause chronic bone healing and require re-operation to promote fracture healing. If comminuted fractures affect peripheral blood circulation, leading to limb necrosis and requiring amputation, they cannot be cured.
