Three rib fractures count as several levels of disability

Rib fractures are graded from eight to ten. The smaller the number, the higher the disability. The patient currently has three rib fractures, which can be classified as a ten degree disability. However, if the patient has a rib fracture and lung tissue damage, which requires lung resection, the disability assessment results will change accordingly.
