Localized emphysema is a benign disease and is not infectious. If the patient is in good health and has no other discomfort symptoms, medication may not be required. If the body has respiratory difficulties, oxygen, phlegm and asthma treatment may be given in time. Thoracoscopic treatment may be given for severe cases.
