Hand-foot-and-mouth disease is associated with decreased immunity and enterovirus infection in children. Patients may develop oral ulcers, localized skin herpes, decreased appetite, fever, irritability, lack of concentration, nasal congestion, drooling, abdominal pain and other symptoms.
